Technology integration in the classroom is quickly becomming an extremely essential part of the curriculum of today for many reasons. Here are just a few reasons why.
- Utilization of technology helps teachers identify student weaknesses
- Drill-and-practice instructional games promote students' rapid recall abilities
- Students can learn at a pace appropriate for their learning needs
- Technologies help teachers create lessons that increase students' creativity and problem-solving abilities
- Cooperative group learning is easier to accomplish utilizing technology
- Technology affords teachers the opportunity to vary instruction to fit the needs of your child's learning style
- Special needs students benefit greatly from technology
Listed here are two types of technologies that would benefit your child's education!
I would love to have iPads for every student.
Just picture your child in class using the Albegra 1 iPad application. They would be able to touch parts of expressions to do simplifications. They would be able to touch parts of equations to solve. The problems would get progressively more difficult based on YOUR CHILD'S successes. The program is geared toward developing your child's progress based on his or her skill level.
OR
Perhaps your child would like to work on the Doodle Buddy. As your child works on an algebraic prolem, I would be able to monitor them from my computer. The moment your child makes an error, I could spot it immediately, then provide instant feedback and guidance.
I would love to have a Promethean Board in my classroom.
This is an example of Promethean Flip Chart. In one lesson my
students would be able to come to the Promethean Interactive Board to rehearse graphing coordinate points such as these on this very interactive Geometry Flip Chart. In interactive game could be created between teams established in the classroom. Students would be able to simultaneously plot these points in a friendly classroom competition.

Also keep in mind, both of these technologies are ECO FRIENDLY!
(ABC Teach, 2010)
Both of these technologies would engage students in lesson plans. When students are engaged, greater learning occurs. The benefits of these technologies are boundless.
Technology in the classroom has been proven indispensible in assiting students in achieving or exceeding learning goal expectations. Please come and be a part of our fundraiser, whether as a volunteer or just to have a great day with your children. Be a part of this very important cause.
Thank you,
Mrs. Scholl
